I'm very excited to announce that my new blog/website is up and running.

After 3 years on blogger I'm now moving over to wordpress. Why am I doing this....Wordpress is going to allow me to publish a weekly comic with a blog!....crazy I know...but it's been a dream of mine for a while. I'll no longer be posting on this site. So please adjust all your bookmarks to my new blog Team Spectacular!

My Books Have Arrived!

I'm very excited to show off some of my little stories at this years San Diego Comic Con. I'll be selling two books this year. The first is "Scott Wright"...yes I couldn't think of a name and my ego got the better of me :D

The second book is "Captain Spectacular and SideKick Boy: in Cupid Arrow". This is the story about how the two met. My wife wrote it and I illustrated it.

Just got back from visiting my family in Toronto.

I always love going back...all the College memories...all the memories of running around my Grandfathers house as a little kid, it was a lot of fun.

I also got to meet my new little niece...she's ADORABLE! It was pretty cool to be there when she met her Great Grandpa.

Sorry to all my friends in TO. I was hoping to get a chance to drop by and see some of you but I forget how many relatives I have.

This week I decided to do a three panel story and each panel had to have a diffrent emotion...how do you think I did?

On a exciting note. One of my favorite webcomic artists posted a drawings of mine. I purchased Mike Maihack's first Cow and Buffalo book. Check it out..His stories and characters are awesome! I'm pretty happy with the colour on this page. I haven't been happy with the last few weeks colour combinations...but this one came out the way I invisioned. I'm also playing with some new bubbles, didn't really turn out that great, I'll keep working on it. I did these in Painter perhaps I'll have to head over to Photoshop. As a bonus this week here's the Christmas Card I created for Jodi and I. Jodi came up with the idea...she's smart....and I drew it...we're a good team.

I'm trying something new. I'll be posting my Team Spectacular comics on my brand new website and using my blog to explain what was going on in my head while doing the drawing. I'm super happy how my new website has turned out and I can't wait to hear what all of you think.

Which brings us to this weeks comic. As you've noticed Captain Spectacular and SideKick Boy are in New Zealand. My trip last summer to NZ lead me to Cadbury's World, the real Wanka World from Charley and the Chocholate factory. The amount of free chocholate I ate that day was just unbelievable...I'm still feeling the sugar buzz.

DreamWorks decided about a year ago that there wouldn't be any more MAYA projects and that all movies would now be done in EMO. This drawing is inspired by that theme. Two characters from EMO films are buring the lead character from the last MAYA movie.

At DreamWorks there's been a battle between two computer animation programs over the past 4 years. Maya being a program anyone can purchase and EMO being DreamWorks' proprietary software.

I've used both and having animated with pencil and paper for 7 years. My opinion is a tool is a tool. Knowing the principles of animation is what's most important.

Here is a little drawing I did this weekend. I was testing out some diffrent types of paper. This paper was a pain in the butt however I liked how the drawing turned out (don't ask what happened to the rest of the drawing.)

Jodi doesn't have a window in her office. So I did the bottom drawing so she could look outside. Of course all she can see is a black bird and some strange alien/snail thing. But a window's a window.

Jodi and I spent 4 hours last week making ornaments for our "mini" Christmas tree.

This one is a piece of cake...we love cake and what tree isn't complete without cake.

This is an elf....as if you couldn't figure that out yourself.

This one is my favorite. Jodi did a frog hanging from the moon.
